Since launching our COVID-19 FAQs and Risk Resources website last week, we have received tens of thousands of page views and lots of feedback. In response, we have enhanced the website to help you and your customers quickly access relevant information from MedPro and other authoritative sources.

We especially want to draw your attention today to this new FAQ:
What if my practice is being temporarily reduced or suspended due to COVID-19 developments?

If your practice is being suspended or reduced to less than 20 hours per week for at least 45 days, you may qualify for a premium discount applied to that portion of your policy period impacted by the change. Please contact your agent/broker to initiate a request.

In general, we hope to provide some premium relief to individual providers and groups of providers experiencing sustained reductions in their practices.

More specifically, we are implementing these credits for a qualifying provider whose practice is suspended or reduced below 20 hours per week for at least 45 days. This credit will be applied for the duration of that period upon approval of their request for relief.

On a related note, we would like to remind you that MedPro has temporarily postponed the due dates for outstanding premium payments until June 30, 2020 (for payments originally due on or after March 13, 2020).

Lastly, the premium credits and premium postponements referenced above, as well as many other topics addressed in our COVID-19 FAQs, are subject to varying state regulatory requirements, including those for providers enrolled in Patient Compensation Funds.
